While the Video Message feature on WhatsApp is being released for all users, the company notes that it will be available to everyone in the coming weeks with future app updates. Once available, the Video messages will provide users with a real-time way to respond to chats in 60 seconds. Similar to Snapchat, the videos will be quicker and more conducive to conversation compared to the traditional video feature on the platform.

In a blog post, Meta states that video messages are a "real-time way" to respond to chats with whatever you want to say and show, all within 60 seconds. "We think these will be a fun way to share moments with all the emotion that comes from video, whether it's wishing someone a happy birthday, laughing at a joke, or bringing good news,” the post further reads.

The platform introduced several features such as Transfer chat, Video call in landscape mode, changes in GIF and Avatar tray, and more. While all these features enhance and strengthen the platform, the transfer chat feature is especially highlighted.

With the new Transfer feature, WhatsApp now allows iOS users to natively transfer their chat history, including messages, media, and settings, from an old iPhone to a new one. This update eliminates the need for users to rely on iCloud or local backup to transfer their WhatsApp chat history. The feature is available to all WhatsApp users on iOS 15 and later.
